2 Months Later

Anyone still reading this?
This have been busy as always, we've been many places. We've driven about 30,000 miles since we first set off on tour back in June, and I've felt every one of them.
We've driven through tornados, monsoons, wind storms, been run into by other buses, semi's, had our generator explode, numerous bottles of beer explode on the floor, amplifiers burning out, and now, last night, our keys were locked in the bus. Somehow even though we have 2 sets, no one had either set, and we ended up having to get the lock drilled out of the door in order to get in. Now that's fun!
Throughout the month of October, we toured all over the US with Tesla. They are some of the coolest guys I've ever met, and definitely a great band. I'm sad that the tour is over, we finished up with them on Halloween in Hapton Beach, NH, but now we get to do our own thing for a couple weeks, then we spend a month on the road with Theory of a Dead Man. I'm excited for that one too! Towards the middle of this month we have a few dates with Egypt Central, and we are all DEFINITELY excited for that! If any of you are near one of our shows together, you have to come check it out.
We just rolled into Raleigh, NC, and I'm calling it a night.\
Good morning to you all.

September!

Well we have a few days off, so I get to hang out at my favorite coffee shop here on the corner of College and Michigan and hang out on the internet because my apartment was struck by lightning about a month ago, and along with my tv, dvd player, and desktop computer, my cable modem was fried, and since I am go so much anyway, I just canceled the cable altogether.

POP EVIL NEWS!
So we just had a couple shows this last time out, X-Fest in Huntington, WV, where we got to see our good buddies from Egypt Central again, and shared the stage with Shadows Fall and Avenged Sevenfold. Amazing show!
Moments later we found ourselves in Cleveland, OH, where Tony was trying to bribe a squirrel with crackers to get the squirrel to tell him where the pigeon went...
The squirrel just took the crackers and ran.
Video to follow in TourVid #5. Stay tuned to youtube for that! http://www.youtube.com/PopEvilMusic
We have a new mirror on our bus after the Rev Theory incident. It's fabulous being able to see cars on the passenger side of the bus again.
Thursday is the Allegan County Fair show with Daughtry, we'll see if he remembers us!
Also, it's finally confirmed! We will be on tour with Tesla for the entire month of October! We will be visiting some of the places we saw with Puddle of Mudd, as well as heading out west as far as Salt Lake City.
Tell your friends!!!

The Morning After... (Part 2?)

So almost moments after I put up that last post last night, our bus was hit.
Now this isn't one of those "crazy driver on the highway" stories, this one is much more ironic, and fitting of our history with this bus.
The place where we played last night was in the center of an old strip mall, so all 4 buses were parked in the loading area around back. It was kind of a big inlet, and the building came out on both sides, so facing the building, from left to right it went wall, Rev Theory's bus, our bus, space, Puddle of Mudd's bus, and Saving Abel's bus. Both Saving Abel and Puddle of Mudd had pulled their buses around front after the show for some reason or another, and the party was moving up to the front. Leigh, myself, Matt, and Dave were on our bus along with a couple Saving Abel guys, and the Rev Theory guys had just left our bus because they were about to move their's to the front. So we're chilling in here watching Super Troopers, as well as random Youtube videos, and suddenly we hear a loud crunch, and our entire bus jolted to the side. We look out the window to see Rev Theory's bus almost in T-Bone position with ours, and starting to back up.
So it seems that our huge bus that had been parked in exactly the same spot all day long, which also had exterior lights on on that side, was completely invisible until point of impact.
Hey, I don't know.
Everything got worked out though, and as an upside, the convex mirror on that side was broken already, so it was hard to see traffic on that side, so yay! That will be fixed at some point, whenever we get time to get the bus in the shop again.

On a side note, before this all went down, we were ust chillin on our bus when Wes from Puddle just barged right in with arms full saying, "Hey, you guys want any plates of burgers and fries??"
He has to be one of the most random guys I almost know.

That's all for now...

Sorry Everyone!

Hey everyone, we're in Albany NY right now getting things set up for
the show tonight.
Hopefully later tonight, or possibly tomorrow I'll get some pictures
up as well as all the crazies stories from the last week or so!

Almost Finished

Hey everyone, we had a pretty successful weekend here in Grand Rapids. We had a sold out show at The Intersection Friday night, which, might I add, was fantastic. Shot the video for Hero with director Jason Honeycutt, who shot the video for Somebody Like You. The footage is amazing, you guys are going to flip when you see it! Along with this fun-filled weekend, there was certainly no sleep to be had. Tonight we have a show at FYE in Rivertown Mall at 8:30, you guys can get copies of the new CD, Lipstick on the Mirror before anyone else! There will be posters, the band will be signing things, it's going to be a great time.

Wednesday we are headed on the road once again to the great state of Kentucky for the KEntucky State Fair where we will be playing with P.O.D. I'm pretty excited about that, and then after that show, we'll hit the road with Puddle of Mudd, Saving Abel, and Rev Theory for the remainder of the month. Hopefully there will be some sleep during that.

Stay tuned, there are more big things to come!

I need to do this more often...

So I've been slacking a lot lately, last tour was very short. We played with Egypt Central in Flint on Thursday, and then with Nonpoint and Kittie in Saginaw on Saturday. There were no setbacks with the bus this time, everything went pretty smoothly, however, I think I left a pair of jeans and a couple shirts at the hotel. :( Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll be in my car or on the bus. Who knows?
I had a beer explode in my face right as I walked by the drummer of Kittie. Hilarity ensued...
There was also a band in Saginaw called SupaGroup. They were really good!
Today is laundry day, tomorrow will probably be as well. Wednesday we leave again, but this time we are headed to Nashville, TN. We have a show there on the 31st, and then on the 2nd we are headed to Jacksonville, NC to play at Sand Jam at Camp Lejune. Really looking forward to that one!

7.19.2008

Short Pause

I'm home for a wedding tomorrow, we'll see how that pans out...
The bus is in the shop in Holland getting all fixed up, and the band is in Youngstown, OH tonight. Tomorrow, they'll be at Val du Lakes Bar and Grille, about 6 miles away from where I am right now. We might have a wedding afterparty with the kids. Who knows.
So for the good stuff...
At the end of the trip, we played the show in Ft. Wayne, IN, with Hurt and Candlebox. I totally made an ass out of myself with some of the guys from Candlebox because I thought they were stage hands. Whoops! I had an 18" corn dog and some ice cold budweisers, and then we went to the bar afterwards and I got drunk with the guitarist from Hurt. Let's hear it for jagerbombs!
Sunday night, the show in Jackson, MI was a lot of fun. A few of the home crowd people showed up, and had a good old fashioned drunkfest. That continued at the hotel afterwards.
Monday our buddies Egypt Central will be in Grand Rapids, so we're gonna go se them, and then take a short tour with them before we head out to wherever we're going. I don't remember at the moment where the next stop is.

Oh Shit #2

Generator.
Video tells the rest.

7.09.2008

Oh Shit...

First and foremost, I apologize for the lack of posting from the end of the last tour. I will get those up tomorrow. I'm going to be a sneaky bastard though and put them in BEFORE this post, so if you are reading this after tomorrow, it's going to seem like I didn't miss a beat.

But for the real reason of the title, we are on our way to Louisville, KY right now, and in southern Indiana, we drove through a bit of a tornado or something. Anyway, a huge gust of wind hit us and ripped the awning completely off. It then bounced off the roof of the bus, and landed a couple lanes over, which a car proceeded to run into, and the awning pierced the front bumper and slammed into the radiator, completely destroying it. So after an hour and a half or so of sitting on the side of the road waiting for the police to come and do a damage report, we got back on the road. Surprisingly, other than the whole no-awning thing, there isn't any visible damage to the bus.

Here's a video with my double chin explaining more:

The end of the beginning

Well the last show on tour #1 is over, we had a great time! Last night we partied with Egypt Central back at the hotel, got a lesson in cannonballs from the drummer, and drank way too much. Green Bay is an awesome town, if any of you guys are reading this, you guys kick ass!
Enough delay, here's some pics:

Final Day

Hi everyone. Our internet has been patchy the last couple days, so getting online was tough! We're at a gas station somewhere north of Milwaukee on our way to Green Bay right now. We met up with Egypt Central last night, and are traveling up the road with them. Those guys can really rock out. We made a 4:30am stop at Arby's and had some breakfast.
The show in Saginaw was awesome, the place was packed! From there we played to a roaring crowd of 15 in Put-N-Bay. Last night in Lima made up for it. There were hundreds, and I met a few new friends! That's always a good thing. Pictures to follow when we get to the hotel.

XM Radio

Hey everyone, we just finished up with our interview guest-host thing at XM Radio which will be aired this Saturday at 2:00pm ET on Squizz 48, and again on Sunday at 12:00pm ET. We are now on our way to Baltimore to do another radio interview, and then we will be setting up for the show at Fletcher's.
Pics to come as soon as I get to a computer.
(Posting from my phone)
Stay tuned!

Pictures: Day One

We started out bright and early, and everyone was ready to go.

iTeen took the wheel first.

We had lunch at a tuck stop in Ohio, and some fans recognized us in the parking lot.

We got back into the bus and drove some more.

And some more...

Then we went through a tunnel.

And then we drove some more.

Then we put 3/4 of a tank of diesel in the bus.

Very exciting first day, huh?

More pictures to follow!

Updates

The show in Allentown, PA was cancelled for tomorrow night, so we have one more day back here in Grand Rapids, and will be hitting the road early tomorrow morning, and heading straight to Maryland. Kind of convenient as we all have a lot of stuff to get done back here, and if we would have left yesterday, we would have all been screwed.

So that's really the only new happenings as of yet...
Monday night at Fletcher's in Baltimore will now be stop #1

6.15.2008

2 Days Later...

It was a great show at Planet Rock in Battle Creek, MI, Friday night, we all had lots of fun and partied with some great bands!

PE definitely left their mark on Planet Rock!

Just one week till the real action begins!

6.14.2008

Planet Rock

We played a show last night in Battle Creek with a band called LIGION. They are from Nashville, TN, and if you get a chance to go see these guys, go do it!

www.myspace.com/ligion

So we're either rolling out of here next Friday or Saturday, depending on Friday night's events. On a completely unrelated note, everyone in the area should come to Whiskey Lounge on Friday the 20th. You never know who's gonna be there... ;)

6.10.2008

9 Days...

Just over a week to go before we venture off into the unknown. There will be lots of fun, probably some not-so-fun, a bit of drama, and lots of crazy antics. The only question is why would you want to miss out on any of that? Make sure you stay tuned and tell all your friends about this blog so they don't hold a grudge against you about it!

For now, here's a sample of what is to come...
